Panthera TEC POL Epi Trinocular
A new level of Transmitted/Incident light microscope for diverse Polarization applications: Panthera TEC POL Epi Trino is a trinocular microscope with a set of UC Plan Achromatic objectives, working with UC eyepieces of 20mm Field of View. An interchangeable 30W Halogen/3W LED light source is part of a Full-Köhler setup in Transmitted light. Incident light is provided by a compact illuminator with 3W LED light source. The Motic LightTracer system with memory function, a built-in Low-Energy mode and an LED feedback indicator helps to optimize your workflow.
The Motic Panthera TEC POL Epi Trinocular microscope is a precision polarization instrument, purpose-built for applications in both materials science and medical diagnostics, including the identification of monosodium urate crystals in suspected gout cases. Combining polarized transmitted and reflected light, this system enables detailed imaging of birefringent structures in both thin sections and polished samples.

The microscope’s clear optics and polarized contrast offer reliable and efficient analysis of such diagnostic samples.To further enhance diagnostic precision, we strongly recommend the use of a λ (lambda) compensator plate. This accessory introduces a known retardation into the optical path, improving the visibility of weak birefringence and allowing accurate determination of crystal orientation and sign.
