The ASA DDM85 is the workhorse of professional astrophotographers!
This mount has earned its spurs by dozens of astrophotographers. Some do not use additional tracking aids and therefore do not have to sort out any more photos. As the 38kg axle cross section is divisible, the DDM85 is still easily transportable and can be operated with a mobile power supply without problems. All supply and data lines are routed through the large-dimensioned hollow axles. As an option, this mount can also be mounted on a corner column. Thus the user can do without a meridian flip. The ASA DDM85 has long been a professional work at universities!
Direct Drive Mount: The DDM mountings have a direct drive drive with high torque motors in RA and DEC.
The accuracy of this mounting is so precise that guidance can be dispensed with. The running accuracy without autoguider correction over an hour shows peak to peak 0.68 arc seconds or 0.18 arc seconds RMS.
The DDM85 is available in three versions:
- Basic : load capacity 45 kg. The tiltable base plate ensures safe and fast pole adjustment (especially interesting for mobile use)
- Standard : load capacity 65 kg, with traditionally adjustable pole height
- Premium : load capacity 100 kg, is mounted on a customer-specific folding column (not included in the price)
The scope of delivery of the DDM85 Basic and DDM85 Standard is, in addition to all necessary cables, counterweights and the power supply, the control software Autoslew by Dipl. Phys. Phillip Keller and the Sequence Software .
