The views offered by a big Dobsonian reflector are simply not achievable in smaller telescopes, but the bulk of a large Dobsonian can sometimes be a pain to move from garage to driveway and back again every night. That's where our Dob Dolly comes to the rescue!
The Dob Dolly for Orion 4.5-10" Dobsonian Telescopes makes it delightfully easy to roll your compatible Orion Dobsonian reflector from one place to another. Designed for use with Orion 4.5", 6", 8", and 10" Dobsonians, the affordable Dob Dolly provides a rugged wheeled platform for your big telescope, so you can conveniently move your fully assembled SkyQuest Dobsonian from its storage spot for a night full of stargazing fun.
Three soft rubber castor wheels make motion nice and smooth, and they'll absorb pesky vibrations as you roll the Dob Dolly and attached telescope, helping to maintain your reflector's optical collimation. Once you've rolled your Dobsonian to your preferred observing location, three robust threaded levelers can be used to raise the wheels up off the ground so the Dob Dolly can be used as a stable and level raised viewing platform. When you're done observing, simply lower the Dob Dolly back onto its wheels with the threaded levelers, and you're all-set to roll your telescope back into its storage spot. The highly visible white trim on the Dob Dolly makes it easy to see, even in the dark of night, which will help avoid inadvertent bumps as you stargaze.
The Dob Dolly has been engineered to work perfectly with the Dob Pod for Orion 4.5-10" Dobsonian Telescopes (sold separately). Using both the Dob Dolly and Dob Pod together will let you enjoy increased viewing comfort and convenience with the Dob Pod's added height while also being able to roll your compatible Orion Dobsonian from its storage spot using the Dob Dolly.
